Foreign Meals & Lodging

To calculate Foreign Per Diem allowance:

Visit http://aoprals.state.gov/content.asp?content_id=184&menu_id=78 to view the Maximum Per Diem Rates Table. This link will connect you to the State Government Travel Gopher Menu. Be sure to select the most current file. They are titled by date YYMM (i.e. 9701 = January 1997). Note the M&IE Rate AND the Maximum Per Diem Rate

Visit http://www.vpfa.fsu.edu/control/formeals.html to view the Meals & Incidental Expense Rate Table. Note the amount of Incidental Expense in the last column.

Subtract the amount of Incidental Expense from the Maximum Per Diem Rate. This will give you the total allowable Foreign Per Diem.
