OP-A-4   FOOD AND VENDING SERVICES

OBJECTIVE
To specify the responsibility for managing Food and vending Services and to describe the types of services available at Florida State University.

OVERVIEW
Food and vending services are provided on the Florida State University campus or at University sponsored events by vendors operating under service contracts administered by the Director of Business Services. The establishment of food and vending service contracts at Florida State University is the responsibility of the Director of Business Services. ARAMARK Campus Services is the current food service vendor and is under contract until July 31, 2013. Coca-Cola is the current beverage vendor and is under contract until August 14, 2009. Quality Snacks and Vending is the current snack vendor and is under contract until June 30, 2009.

A. FOOD SERVICES
With the exception of Crenshaw Lanes, Florida State University School, the University Center Club, and athletic event concessions, all campus food services facilities are operated on an exclusive basis by ARAMARK Campus Services, more commonly known as Seminole Dining. In addition to operating campus dining facilities and convenience stores, Seminole Dining provides catering services on a non-exclusive basis to the campus. The Seminole Dining general manager is located in University Center, C-5407, telephone 645-2603.

B. CATERING
The Seminole Dining Catering Office should be contacted well in advance of the catered event to plan menus, space, and any special arrangements for the event. Catering Office telephone is 644-7509.

C. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Alcoholic beverages may only be sold and consumed in accordance with statutory requirements and at approved locations on the FSU campus. Seminole Dining Catering Services should be contacted regarding the provision of alcoholic beverages at catered events.

D. MEAL PLANS
Seminole Dining offers a variety of meal plans to students, faculty and staff. Seminole Dining should be contacted for details concerning meal plans or visit the Seminole Dining website at http://www.seminoledining.com.

E. VENDING SERVICES
Beverage vending services on campus are provided by Coca-Cola and snack vending services are provided by Tom's Foods, Inc. Requests for the installation or removal of vending equipment should be made to the Director of Business Services.

F. REFUNDS
A decal is affixed to each vending machine indicating where refunds may be obtained. Refund locations are:

Union Copy Center in Oglesby Union
FSU Card Center, Call St. Parking Garage

G. SERVICE CALLS
Problems or complaints concerning the operation of vending machines may be made by calling the service/repair number displayed on the vending machine or by calling the Business Services administrative assistant at 644-0177.
